  1. That is something I have never tried before. But after verification, I would like to know if you were able to do transaction seamlessly? I tried to verify my debit card with no use. It says my card is invalid/incorrect. Anyways I am going to do it your way and will let you know the results.

The only advantage (as it seems to me) of a verified account is that the withdrawal limits are removed.

  2. I went through this process and succeeded in verifying my Premier account. If the ONLY advantage of having a verified account is to lift the withdrawal limits then even that is worthwhile considering the fact that Paypal often forgets to reset the monthly limit on unverified accounts. Paypal has provided India customers with some real headaches this year but they seem to be making a concerted effort to rectify the situation. Truly, they would be insane to NOT do biz in India. Everyone hopes they succeed in making things easier for Indians since it’s so difficult to get a credit card if you live outside of a major city.

  3. A new fact about Pay Pal :

I applied for a charity account with Pay pal because its free and supported by vbulletin software for payment subscription, I have all the documents like NGO Registration certificate, Memorandum of Society, Society PAN card, and the Bank details , bank details were verified by the Pay Pal by depositing amount of Rs. 2 and 40 paisa, after submitting all the document as per said in their website and in their emails, they denied me for the account, just because they have no tie-up with India regarding charity account, what the hell is this, why the pay pal people should not mention at the time sign up process. I have wasted around 1000/- rs in doing fax to pay pal and after 4-5 days they denied.

Don’t apply for a charity account with pay pal if you are living in India. Just wastage of time and money.

  4. thanks for your information about paypal verification. i added my bank account to my paypal account on 16/08/2010. i check my bank account but the two small deposit yet not deposited to my account.please tell how long have i to wait?

  5. I’ve tried the same method again and again with my SBI account, i’m sure i’ve entered all information and IFSC codes are correct. i’m waiting for two small deposits since 22 feb 2010. is been like six months. what i’ve to do?

    • Write to support team of Paypal. btw what do you mean by “again and again”? Usually any electronic payment system would reject trying “again and again”.

else, if you have another bank a/c. try registering with Paypal with another email id and another bank a/c. Dont try “again and again”.

  6. thanks for reply
they admit they couldn’t process with SBI account
i did register with another bank though
paypal asks me to Fax the proofs like bank statements, photo identity and address proof to manually register sbI,i did so, and i’m waiting for ‘em to process.they said it will take some to process..

  7. i added my bank account to my paypal account for verification, they sent the two small deposit but i couldn’t find the link for verification. please help.

  8. can we check the paypal depsited amounts through an ATM mini statement or we should check it in passbook ?

  9. Can i have two different paypal account with two different bank credit card numbers but but on one pan card?

  10. I cant see “Confirm Bank account” in notification box.there are only two options whereas print screen shots provided by you shows three options.

    • If I remember correctly confirm bank account appears after Paypal has processed its small deposits from its end.

As such in India Paypal has to go by the instructions of RBI and Govt of India. So it depends as to what compliance is being required at what point of time. So their user interface may vary from time to time.

As to linking multiple accounts with single PAN, you can do it in one account itself. If you want separate accounts with a single PAN, I guess there is no restriction.
