Also send a separate letter to your Regional Office writing that you find that your father’s name is incorrectly mentioned in records of the institute (no need to mention the source of ICAI exam – but if there is any other document like registration letter etc where such mistake is there then you can attach that) and attach proof like 12th marksheet or any other document (even copy of Form 103 would suffice) and request them to correct that.

Get the card from your bank. Except for SBI ATM card – all other ATM cards of bank double up as Debit card.

and request them to – make the correction at their end. PURSUE on PHONE. DON’T rely on email. They may ask you to fax your correction application

The worst that may happen that you wont be able to appear in the exam as ICAI does not permit re-appearance in exam for improving marks.

But now that you have woken up – act fast.

The other thing is that ICAI may send you query (that it usually does in cases of mistake) – but it may also reject it as invalid application.

So best initiate the matter to solve it proactively.

Also as a proof attach your 12th marksheet – also mention that you have written to RO for the correction

As the name / DoB/ Address etc database is maintained by the regional office – write a letter to your RO with your 12th marksheet and tell them to correct your spelling.

Previously, it used to be identified only by the date of issue of certificate & there was a Eligibility Certificate with a number.

Anyway, as you are in articleship, you dont need to fill that – and also since you were able to fill the form without it, it seems only to be an optional field.

I have completed 3.5 years of articleship training as PCC student on 25/06/2011.
Online application required details regarding “STATUS OF COMPLETION OF ARTICLESHIP TRAINING”, I have click on wrong option (i.e. CAT I – Intermidate : Completed/completing 3 years of articleship trainig (including excess leave, if any) as on 31st October, 2011.) instead of last option(i.e. CAT V- PCC and converted from PCC to IPCC : Completed/completing 3 1/2 years of articleship trainig (including excess leave, if any) as on 31st October, 2011.) mentioned in the form.

Please Sir suggest me, now what should I do to make good my mistake.

After all, the form is filled by the student – and the CA attests that the information in the form is correct – seen in that terms, the covering letter should also be forwarded by the CA attesting the form.

In my understanding, if you are sending with corrections, you can add a certified copy of the ITT certificate.

Also, w.r.t. your address, put in the corrected address also, as the matter does not stop merely at admit card. Infact, the marksheet is sent to the address mentioned in the exam form.

So, correct both these things in your printout.

In my opinion, it makes no difference whether you send by speed post or courier. But you should keep the printout of delivery from online tracking of your courier.

As far as I know, exemption is not mentioned in admit card. (ICAI may change the admit card format)

One simply does not go to the paper in which one got exemption

It would seem to me that your browser has certain plugins that has not lead to proper redirection after payment.

It takes just 10 minutes – but be very careful in those ten minutes.Some data are prefetched, while some the student has to fill. I dont know why ICAI has kept it this way – because there is hardly any data that is not previously known to ICAI, except perhaps the point of excess leave.

Apart from this, if there is any phone number mentioned in that letter – ring that up – and ask whether they have received your FAX / Email

SBI also issues 16 digit VISA debit cards – though I guess it has certain minimum balance requirement for issuing such card.

The “normal” credit / debit card contains 16 digits. All payment gateways in India like Axis / ICICI / HDFC / Citibank gateways support 16 digit credit / debit cards.

As to your fathers name, usually fathers name is prefetched from the ICAI database. One can change that on the online application for example if in ICAI database, its something like RK Mishra, one can change it to Raj Kumar Mishra on the online form.

Apart from the mistake you have done on the online form, if the name of your father is mis-spelt on the ICAI database, plz write a letter to the regional office and get that corrected.

I would add – plz improve your concentration.

Signature is important on the Exam Form – other things dont matter.

1) Copy of Articleship Registration Letter (hopefully that mentions your SRN, and the Articleship start date)
2) Copy of Form 108 on completion of your normal duration
3) Copy of Form 108 on completion of your excess leave

Mention the ‘event’ on the copy of Form 108 clearly – and put it as Attached 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3 – so that would make it clear. Your exam form and these photocopies should be attested by any CA in practice

And also dont forget to put in complaint regarding non receipt of your Service Certificate at http://www.icai.org/help/ The service certificate usually takes around one and half months to get delivered.

I have completed articleship as on 30-12-2010 which incl excess leave and for that i submitted the form 108 two times , firstly for completion of original period and secondly for completion of excess leave period.

In cafinal may 2011 exam form they demand confirmation letter..for that I have called to institute and they replied me to sumbit enrollment letter and copy of form 108

As far as I could gather, Central Bank is not in the list of banks of Techprocess Solutions.

I would suggest open a bank account in any other bank. The most popular being Axis Bank / SBI / Corporation Bank / BOI among others.

I would also suggest that you write to ICAI helpdesk or BOS for confirmation.

Your normal date of completion of articleship would remain at 28-07-2011 (unless you take leave more than 180 days). If your total cumulative leave till date is say ‘Z’, AND if ‘Z’ is more than 180, then your date of completion would be 28-07-2011 + (‘Z’ – 180).

If ‘Z’ is less than 180, then your date of completion would remain at 28-07-2011.

Frankly, ICAI has kept it as a control mechanism – the purpose is still not clear to me ! It really does not matter as to what one writes in that – because mistakes can happen. And mistakes can always get rectified (later on!).

The date put in your Form 108 would be the one that would be important and not in the exam service certificate form.

So, even if you have put a wrong date by mistake, its no need to worry. If on a later date – if at all – ICAI asks for any clarification, it can always be explained that you did that by mistake. But since the mistake has come to your notice, any further form you send, quote the correct (estimated) date of completion. No need to refer previous form. Clarifications should be replied only when clarifications are asked for.

I am appearing in November,2010 CA FINAL exams.I am ‘PROVISIONALLY’ registered for the exam. And due to send certificate of service again.I want to know that which date is to be written as ‘Date of Completion of article ship date” (Including excess leave).I think i have made mistake in my first form because of which i need to send service certificate again.

If its credit card – then there is of-course no problems.

However if its debit card – just see that it contains the 3 digit CVV number at the back of the card. Many of the debit cards issued some years back did not contain the CVV number.

It seems that you will have to send request for refund with proof of payment by post to the mentioned address in the circular.

I had online filed my examination form for Nov 2010 IPCC, but the pdf form was not generated. So i filed the form again online, and then the form was generated.

But my account has been debited by Rs 3200/- (1600 + 1600 ). And i have mailed the lost transaction details to ipce_examhelpline@icai.org, 20 days before, but no reply has come from their side till now.

It really seems that this decision of ICAI is irreversible.

Even seen from other side, govt institutions / departments have now adopted the e-payment mode viz. paying various taxes or filing fees for ROC – these things have now gone online. So, ICAI in such ways keeping with the e-governance drive of Govt of India is also making its payments system online.

I would suggest that you talk with your bank branch. Check whether they can provide you with Internet Banking facility. Also get a Debit Card for your bank account. While some banks like SBI have a quick system of providing with internet banking facility – many others have tedious procedure.

I will be appeared ca final exam in may 2011. From that year exam forms have to be submitted through online. I want to know that online payment is necessary for submission of exam form. Bank draft or any other offline way, payment is not possible? Because in remote area such type of facility is not easily available and I live in remote area.

There have even been cases like where a student had posted her exam form and had retained the postal proof. But ICAI had not received the letter. And when such matter was brought to notice of ICAI just two-three days before the exams were to start – ICAI allowed the student to appear in exam with provisional roll no. !

Hopefully, since ICAI has all the details, I think, that previous appearance details in exam form are only of historical value – and not for record purposes. And therefore you should not have any problem in receiving admit card.

Update: I find that the ICAI website now says that the Exam forms would now be available from 8th Feb onwards (earlier it was 5th).

Website open, Registration form is also accessible. But first input is about exam and they not giving option in list box. And without selecting it, form cannot be completed. Whats d problem ? I have tried in all browsers.

Usually the website would not be accessible if that is under maintenance. However the particular site is accessible.

I would suggest:

1) Check your browser. Use a newer version of the browser like Internet Explorer 8 or Firefox 3.5. Older browsers are not able to display the newer technologies being used in websites.

2) Check whether your browser is javascript enabled. This can be checked from the “Tools –> Options” of your browser. All e-transaction websites use javascript
