    I had online filed my examination form for IPCC Exams November 2010. My form was successfully saved but when I made payment of Rs. 1,600/- the same was debited to my account and the same is not refelected to my Registraton No. and the pdf form not opened. Kindly guide me.

    Today i filled my online CA fianl exam form, but i did a mistake. In Last appearance details, I filled my roll no. wrong. Instead of writing 46027 i wrote it 46029. What should i do now because i have sent the form now. Will i be able to get my admit card
    Please help

    • Usually ICAI in general is quite helpful for candidates. I dont know what happens now a days – but previously – in case of errors ICAI used to intimate and ask for correction / verification !

      There have even been cases like where a student had posted her exam form and had retained the postal proof. But ICAI had not received the letter. And when such matter was brought to notice of ICAI just two-three days before the exams were to start – ICAI allowed the student to appear in exam with provisional roll no. !

      Hopefully, since ICAI has all the details, I think, that previous appearance details in exam form are only of historical value – and not for record purposes. And therefore you should not have any problem in receiving admit card.

    I will be appeared ca final exam in may 2011. From that year exam forms have to be submitted through online. I want to know that online payment is necessary for submission of exam form. Bank draft or any other offline way, payment is not possible? Because in remote area such type of facility is not easily available and I live in remote area.

    • Yes for online application payment has to be made online . The mode of payment is Credit Card / Debit Card / Internet Banking.

      It really seems that this decision of ICAI is irreversible.

      Even seen from other side, govt institutions / departments have now adopted the e-payment mode viz. paying various taxes or filing fees for ROC – these things have now gone online. So, ICAI in such ways keeping with the e-governance drive of Govt of India is also making its payments system online.

      I would suggest that you talk with your bank branch. Check whether they can provide you with Internet Banking facility. Also get a Debit Card for your bank account. While some banks like SBI have a quick system of providing with internet banking facility – many others have tedious procedure.

        • As far as I know, the 19 digit SBI Cash Plus Maestro Card does not work. Any Debit Card with 16 digits would work (VISA / Mastercard). SBI also issues 16 digit VISA Debit Card. If you have that then that would work.

    I had online filed my examination form for Nov 2010 IPCC, but the pdf form was not generated. So i filed the form again online, and then the form was generated.

    But my account has been debited by Rs 3200/- (1600 + 1600 ). And i have mailed the lost transaction details to ipce_examhelpline@icai.org, 20 days before, but no reply has come from their side till now.

    what should i do?

    I want to know that can I use any bank’s debit or credit card? and can I use any one’s credit or debit card?

    • You can use any (including anyone else’s) debit or credit card – till it is VISA or Mastercard and contains 16 digit number.

      If its credit card – then there is of-course no problems.

      However if its debit card – just see that it contains the 3 digit CVV number at the back of the card. Many of the debit cards issued some years back did not contain the CVV number.

    I am appearing in November,2010 CA FINAL exams.I am ‘PROVISIONALLY’ registered for the exam. And due to send certificate of service again.I want to know that which date is to be written as ‘Date of Completion of article ship date” (Including excess leave).I think i have made mistake in my first form because of which i need to send service certificate again.

    My case:
    I need to complete 3 1/2 years of article ship.
    I first registered for training on 29/01/2008 to 20/03/2009 i.e 417 days total and with 105 total leave. (TERMINATION LETTER FROM ICAI SHOWED 53 DAYS of EXCESS LEAVE)
    Subsequent Registration form 21/03/2009 to 28/07/2011.(as per contract)

    I have written in my first application as date of completion of article ship as ’19/09/2011′ (28/07/2011+53 days excess leave).
    I again need to send the Certificate of service.
    Which date to write in such case?
    If i have mistaken at the first instance, what should i write in next confirmation??
    Is that any further procedure, which as according to you, needed to follow by me?

    PLEASE HELP ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SIR… I have made lots of calls to ICAI exam helpdesk. BUt no Proper reply or guidance provided…

    • It seems that ICAI software calculates excess leave on per year basis. However, in a 3 & 1/2 yrs articleship, your total entitled leave is 180 days.

      Your normal date of completion of articleship would remain at 28-07-2011 (unless you take leave more than 180 days). If your total cumulative leave till date is say ‘Z’, AND if ‘Z’ is more than 180, then your date of completion would be 28-07-2011 + (‘Z’ – 180).

      If ‘Z’ is less than 180, then your date of completion would remain at 28-07-2011.

      Frankly, ICAI has kept it as a control mechanism – the purpose is still not clear to me ! It really does not matter as to what one writes in that – because mistakes can happen. And mistakes can always get rectified (later on!).

      The date put in your Form 108 would be the one that would be important and not in the exam service certificate form.

      So, even if you have put a wrong date by mistake, its no need to worry. If on a later date – if at all – ICAI asks for any clarification, it can always be explained that you did that by mistake. But since the mistake has come to your notice, any further form you send, quote the correct (estimated) date of completion. No need to refer previous form. Clarifications should be replied only when clarifications are asked for.

  9. thank you sir for giving me previous queston’s answer.sir i have account in central bank of india. so can i use cbi’s net banking facility?

    • The payment platform of ICAI has kept evolving over the past two years. For the Nov 2010 exams, it used Techprocess Solutions as its outsource partner for processing online payments.

      As far as I could gather, Central Bank is not in the list of banks of Techprocess Solutions.

      I would suggest open a bank account in any other bank. The most popular being Axis Bank / SBI / Corporation Bank / BOI among others.

      I would also suggest that you write to ICAI helpdesk or BOS for confirmation.
