Sir,
I had given IPCC Nov 09 attempt n i got 177 marks in 1st group now i am preparing for both group for may 10. so please recommend me
for articleship in good firms or Big4 and how to apply for it without any jacque.
Thank you sir
Usually firms would see for three things – (1) marks in exams (2) conceptual clarity, (3) whether you would be able to carry out works responsibly and sincerely.
Try to get good marks and develop those habits, and you wont need any crutches.
Thank you sir for providing such an excellent resource and guidance for students aspiring to be CAs
thanks for the guide.sir, what about CPA.
What about CPA? I dont know much about it. You can check out their website at http://aicpa.org/. If you are interested in other finance related courses, you can also see: http://indiapoint.net/ca/2004/05/07/finance-and-accounts-courses/
Sir,
I have cleared PE-II in May 2008 and I’m currently pursuing my 2nd year of Articleship. I’m in a dilemma whether to continue with the articleship or join an industry for Industrial Training. I also want to know the rules for Industrial training. In Nov.2010 I’ll be giving my Final CA exam. Can i switch to Industrial Training?
Kindly provide me guidance.
Since, you are in CA Final, you can opt for Industrial Training in the final year of Articleship. More details in a previous comment: http://indiapoint.net/ca/2008/10/31/articleship-certain-rules/comment-page-1/#comment-110
Regarding your dilemma – if you want to go for service, then Organisations prefer candidates who have undergone industrial training in brand / listed companies. If you aim to open your own firm, then industrial training would hardly be useful.
Sincere Thanks for the guidance given by you
Sir,
As i wish to do service in an organisation, i’m thinking to opt for Industrial training. I would like to know that if I take study leave for my Final CA exam from the month of July, then will I be eligible to undergo Industrial Training.
Regards,
Sridevi
Dear Sir,
Addition to my query asked before this one, I would like to tell you that my articleship is getting over in the month of August-2011. So I wish to know can I still continue with the Industrial Training to complete the training period i.e. minimum 9 months and get the certificate.
Just deduct 9 months from the last date when your 3 yrs articleship is due to end. That derived date would be the last date when you can join industrial training. Even one day less than 9 months would make you miss industrial training.
So, to be on safer side, after your exams end in Nov, you can take termination for undergoing industrial training.
Also, your Principal cannot refuse you termination for undergoing industrial training. However, at least give him an advance notice in writing, that you intend to go on industrial training – as such written notice is required as per rules of ICAI.
Thank you Sir
Thank you Sir…..
Sir
i would like to know that should i start my articleship right after clearing my CPT or should i complete my inters(IPCC) first
As the previous PCC system has been superceded, for those who are now passing CPT, they can do articleship only after passing Group I of IPCC and the period of Articleship will be three years.
respected sir could u plz help me out by letting me know about the the firm which deals in project finanace
Reply by Anup: Nearly all CA firms deal in project finance as part of management consultancy. Do you have any specific question in mind?
