BSNL Landline
BSNL definitely is changing. I had applied for a landline phone from BSNL recently. The connection came quick (within 4 days). Moreover, the set provided was one with CLI facility – the facility itself comes free.
We really expect so less from Government PSUs – that anthing good really surprises! Even till today the private operator Airtel does not provide CLI for free on its landline. One has to pay Rs. 50 per month additional for that facility – while BSNL provides the facility free.
However, the Government organisations like BSNL are lacking in marketing skill – even if we dont use the word ‘marketing’, it has a big communication gap with its customers that makes customers think that government organisations dont provide the service!
The phone set was really nice and is replete with features. Image below:

Dear sir,
With reference to Receipt number N269515, I Pankaj Singh wish to make you a humble appeal that i am trying to get a connection of BSNL since last 1 month.
I have met everybody whom i can meet and tried everything which i could do from my end to get a connection.
The response that i am getting is that there is a faulty line which needs a repair.
Kindly tell me how much time it takes for the BSNL to get a fault corrected i went to the officials and they have said that it will take a month more.
The point to note here is that i have got a pole in my house and my neighbours connection is running very fine.
Thanks- Pankaj
