Ramlila at School

Its not that I have not written about my daughter Isha’s experiences in her school. However, I thought writing about Isha was not just to be confined to school but was a wider thing.

Consequently I created a separate blog of her.

However, there are occasion which I would be putting it here as well.

This time – it was Ramlila celebrations at school. Though we had forgotten about it and anyway, we had not expected Ramlila at school to be such a ‘huge’ affair.

Today Madhu and myself went to school to pick up Isha and found that there was the Ravan that has been erected

There was Ram, Sita. Lakshman and Hanuman also (from among the school children)

Later on the Ravan was burnt and there was huge firecracking – so much so that some of the children even started crying!

Also, children were gifted electronic fuljhari – there could not be a better term for that toy.

All these was quite interesting – hopefully these would remain with memories of Isha and other children. After all, its these things at school that bring with it all the small joys of which childhood is made up of.
