We got our child admitted to the local Kangaroo Kids school (Jabalpur).
Apart from the ‘brand’ – It seemed modern – and we wanted that informal touch that would build the personality. Though pre-primary is a very important bit of education for the child – but it is a totally neglected area of education in India.
So when we came to know that there was this local franchisee – and not really hoping for much – yet with a little optimism we got the child admitted to the school.
Two days back the ‘orientation’ was held in which the parents and children were invited – in a way to familiarize with the kind of ‘environs’ – toys, sand, pool – teaching methods (I would hardly call it teaching – but rather personality building).
Today was the first day of school and I took my kid to the school. The names of all the kids were there stuck on small placards on the classroom door.
The assembly was short with National Anthem and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” slogan.
My daughter was fine – and seemed to adjust quite well (even got the comment – ‘she was cool’) from her teachers.
What I was impressed about was the way the teachers went about with their job with small kids – some of whom were crying their hearts out.
And it was quite impressive of how these pre-school teachers professionally handled these kids – and hats off to their energy level and the determination with which they went about with their work. They seemed to work with industrial precision!

Here I would like to appreciate the teacher’s energy level which they match. They keep eye over all the kids. Even small habbits are not hidden. They can specify each and every children not only by their name but by their attitude, habits too. They are well precised in their work. This precision is wonderful and admirable too. Here I would like to say special thanks to Gazal Teacher as she is amazing. My son Arnav Nigam is very much influenced. Every day he use to tell me that she teaches in this way or that. He tries to teach me too the way she teaches him. Today she told me that he is chewing his finger from last 3-4 days. It was her close observation only, which she could noticed. I was also thinking to tell her to help him out. As at home it is difficult for me to handle with this situation. Hope she will help out.
