The Countryside

From the windowpanes, I can see
The countryside of my dreams
The trees and grass, the greenry vast
Same as I thought in my dreams past

The modern touch with lasting effect
Has come there, that’s full of regret
We may be modern, but the past remains
The proof of it, still there in plains

The land, the river, the rivulet serene
The mist, the mud, the sunshine clean
Time seems to have stopped by
In the beautiful scene.
